About Rotary
«Rotary International» is an international association of members of international artisan's and free professions founded 1905 in Chicago «for the reason of moral raising of business people and state life and spreading of pacification». It has spread all over the world. Its residence in Europe is in Zuerich. The clubs are public clubs and are established by the agreement of local authorities, and also by agreement of international residence of the organization. In the membership of one club, only one representative of the definite trade union will be accepted, and that is, those who is prominent in his profession, has exemplar private life, and in public and professional life has high ethic principals. One club can have mostly forty members, and there are reserve members, too, who wait till his trade union will be free for him. Club membership subscription will be paid according to the high international principals and the members are mostly social high situated. Exclusivity of the club is very high. New members will be accepted by secret voting which must be unanimously. The members call each other «friend», and intellectual cosmopolitism in relation is very tending treated. Policy is the subject discussed, but without emphasising the statement. A politician can be the member, but only according to the criterion of profession. All the rotarians are men, and that is the tradition which is permanent with some special exceptances, 1907.
